Message from the Head of the Department
Welcome to the website of the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Yarmouk University!
The Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology is one of the leading departments at the university. It was established in the 1991/1992 academic year under the name Educational Psychology, and in 2006, it adopted its current title. The department is committed to providing high-quality education that equips graduates with the academic and professional skills needed to work in educational, health, and social institutions at both the local and Arab levels.
The department actively contributes to addressing psychological and social issues through specialized studies and research. It is home to a state-of-the-art psychological counseling laboratory and a psychological measurement lab, both of which provide outstanding services to students and the local community.
The department offers a range of academic programs, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in:
