About Department

Curriculum and Instruction

The Curriculum and Methods of Instruction Department began its work as one of the departments within the Faculty of Education at the start of the second semester of the 1991/1992 academic year. The department strives to achieve the following objectives:

  • Preparing teachers for various educational stages.
  • Conducting scientific research to enhance and advance the educational process.
  • Serving the community by delivering lectures, holding seminars, and organizing workshops for the local community.
  • Participating in the design and development of curricula for the Ministry of Education.

The department, which comprises 51 faculty members, offers the following academic degrees:

·       Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Degree in Education/ Early Childhood Education.
    • Degree in Education/Classroom teacher

·       Diploma in:

    • Teaching Methods of Arabic Language
    • Teaching Methods of English Language
    • Teaching Methods of Mathematics
    • Teaching Methods of Science
    • Teaching Methods of Social Studies

·       Master’s degree in:

    • Arabic Language Curricula and Teaching Methods
    • English Language Curricula and Teaching Methods
    • Mathematics Curricula and Teaching Methods
    • Science Curricula and Teaching Methods
    • Vocational Education Curricula and Teaching Methods
    • Social Studies Curricula and Teaching Methods
    • Educational Technology
