Educational Administration and Foundations
The department was established in the academic year 1991/1992 with the aim of enhancing the qualifications of professionals in the educational field, including teachers, school principals, and educational supervisors at the Ministry of Education. The department encourages faculty members and students to conduct educational research related to administration, supervision, training, leadership, and quality assurance.
The department provides services to the local community, including schools, educational institutes, and training centers, by offering administrative and supervisory consultations, particularly in school administration and educational supervision.
The department’s 15 faculty members actively participate in various committees within the Directorates of Education in the Northern Region, focusing on teacher promotions and the professional development of supervisors and educators. They also conduct lectures, workshops, and seminars on the latest educational and technological advancements, particularly in educational, school, and classroom administration, as well as educational supervision.
The department currently serves 555 students across the following programs:
- Diploma in School Administration, and a Professional Diploma in Modern School Administration in collaboration with INHOLLAND University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
- Master’s degree in Foundations of Education, Educational Administration, and Educational Supervision.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Foundations of Education and Educational Administration.
