Key Activities and Events of the Faculty of Educational Sciences Student Club

Orientation Tour for New Students

The Faculty of Educational Sciences at Yarmouk University organized an orientation tour for new students. The tour included several vital university facilities such as the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, the Admission and Registration building, the Al-Hussein Bin Talal Library, and the Deanship of Student Affairs. This initiative was part of the faculty's efforts to support students' transition to university life and foster their institutional belonging. The tour aimed to introduce students to the available academic, administrative, and extracurricular services, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: "Quality Education," by promoting an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, and SDG 17: "Partnerships for the Goals," through cooperation between various university departments and students in organizing the event.

 

Charitable Iftar for Children

The Faculty of Educational Sciences at Yarmouk University organized a charitable Ramadan Iftar for children from "Al-Kalema Al-Tayeba Charitable Society for Orphans," with the participation of 200 children. This initiative aimed to enhance the university's social responsibility and promote values of solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.

The event included recreational and awareness-raising activities organized by the faculty's students, reflecting the university's commitment to instilling humanitarian values in its students and fostering the integration of orphaned children into society. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

 

 

Student Sustainability Team Organizes Book Exchange Initiative

The Student Sustainability Team organized a book exchange initiative to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and alleviate financial burdens on students. The initiative saw widespread participation from students who benefited from exchanging textbooks, which helped them access necessary educational materials for their studies.

The initiative aims to promote a spirit of cooperation and solidarity among students and encourage the reuse of books, contributing to environmental and economic sustainability. The organizers emphasized that this activity is part of a series of events the club seeks to organize to support students academically and culturally. Students praised the initiative for its importance in providing educational resources and enhancing communication among them, expressing their hope for the continuation of such initiatives in the future.
